House Hunting: Searching for Foreclosures

.
Find foreclosures! Save and profit!

Some of the best real estate bargains and discounts can be found among foreclosed, preforeclosed, government-owned, and bankruptcy properties. You may be able to save as much as 20-50 percent on these deals.

These can be good choices for new homeowners or for investors who either want to rent out property or resell for a profit. This is exactly the type of investment recommended by Robert Kiyosaki of "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" fame.

Foreclosures.com offers a free list of foreclosures as well as free foreclosure search. They have an online database available 24 hours, 7 days a week and updated daily from tax rolls, government agencies, and notices of lenders' legal actions. You will have access to the latest information available to be able to act on it immediately.

The company also provides a Foreclosure Knowledge Center that provides tips on real estate investment, both for the personal home buyer and the investor.

Try it out. There's nothing to lose and new lessons to be gained.

Great article, foreclosures are definitely something to look at it, but most of the time they're just not worth the extra hassle.

MJ - Excellent article. I'll be checking our Foreclosures.com soon. The only thing that might be the 'fly in the ointment' is finding properties in one's neighborhood as long distance rental properties would need to employee property management companies, which, obviously, would cut into the profit margin. Thanks for the information you've given.

Very good info. The same thing applies to other things that can be seized by banks. Cars, for example.
Once you figure out how the system works, you can benefit a lot by looking for foreclosed items.

Good article...you can definitely get some good buys from foreclosures but also tax liens are pretty good if you want to pay even less with the opportunity to maybe get the property
